The Foodmate Automated J-Cutter Unit makes an extremely accurate pre-cut along the drum and thigh bone which greatly improves the yields of the boneless leg meat.
“One of the most important but also labor intensive processes to debone whole leg is to make the proper J-cut along the drum and thigh bone,” said Foodmate US President Scott Hazenbroek. “With our new Automated J-Cutter Unit, all the issues associated with making a proper J-cut are addressed.”
The automated J-Cutter Unit not only eliminates the risk of injury by performing this cut mechanically, but also greatly reduces the number of employees needed per shift.
